Have you been exposed to Tepezza injections?

Tepezza is a brand-name prescription medication. It’s FDA-approved to treat thyroid eye disease (TED) in adults. In the summer of last year, patients who were given this drug started to experience severe hearing damage (or tinnitus) and began filing product liability lawsuits against the manufacturer. In two clinical trials prior to FDA approval, hearing impairment was reported in most of the patients. The most common hearing symptoms were subjective hearing loss (n=6, 23 %), tinnitus (n=7, 27 %), ear plugging sensation (n=3, 12%), autophony and unusually loud hearing of a person’s own voice (29%). The hearing symptoms developed after an average of 3.6 infusions. Of the 17 patients with new hearing symptoms, four had new or worsening sensorineural hearing loss, from damaged hair cells in the inner ear. Three patients had a eustachian tube disorder. After 3-6 months, the symptoms improved. Leave yore application to speak with a member of our legal team to review your case information.

Toxic Firefighting Foam Dangers

AFFF, or Aqueous Film-Forming Foam, is an effective firefighting agent used by firefighters from both military and civilian units to suppress fires. It has been found that this popular firefighting foam contains harmful chemicals such as PFAS (polyfluoroalkyl substances) that are believed to cause several types of cancer as a result of regular eposure. These chemicals remain both in the human body and the environment after use, often working their way into the local water supply of nearby communities through groundwater contamination. Aqueous film-forming foam, or AFFF, has been manufactured with perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) since the 1950s. Two particular PFAS compounds found within the foam are perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS). These synthetic chemicals work to suppress flammable-liquid fires by creating a barrier between the fuel and the oxygen it needs to burn. Both PFOA and PFOS have been identified by the EPA as “emerging contaminants” , meaning they are suspected of causing negative health effects in humans. Additionally, these chemicals are “persistent,” so they don’t break down after entering the human body or the environment. When firefighting foam is used, PFOA and PFOS spread throughout nearby soil, often contaminating local drinking water sources. Once ingested, the potentially toxic AFFF PFAS will remain in your system and continue to “bioaccumulate” upon further exposure.

The Baltimore Archdiocese abused at least 600 kids over 60 years.

The Diocese of Baltimore has enjoyed a special prominence in the history of the Roman Catholic Church in America. The City of Baltimore was the first seat of the United States Catholic Church removed from the authority of the English Catholic Church, and in 1789 the Diocese of Baltimore became the first diocese established in the United States. As per the Report, from the 1940s through 2002, over a hundred priests and other Archdiocese personnel engaged in horrific and repeated abuse of the most vulnerable children in their communities while Archdiocese leadership resolutely refused to acknowledge allegations of child sexual abuse over decades. Church leadership would remove abusers from the parish or school, sometimes with promises that they would have no further contact with children. In other instances the church officials threatened that the victim or the victim's family would go to hell if they told anyone. They attempted to normalize sexual behavior as “rough housing.” Church documents reveal with disturbing clarity that the Archdiocese was more concerned with avoiding scandal and negative publicity than it was with protecting children.
